Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Odom Christian of Dublin will be held on Thursday, April 4, at 2 PM at the Shady Grove Baptist Church, 679 Shady Grove Church Road in Dudley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Steve Askew will officiate.

Mrs. Christian who passed on March 30, 2013, was born on January 13, 1951, to the late Rorine W. Whirl and Herchel McNear. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie James "Bootsie" Christian, and a brother Sonny Moss.

Survivors include her children; Donna W. (Rev. Michael) Harmon, Wesley Odom, Barbara Odom and Tyrone (Sheneka) Odom; stepchildren, Dedra Christian Lowery, Michael (Jacqueline) Christian of Dublin, Demetri Humbert of Las Vegas, Nevada, and D'Juan Humbert of Detroit, Michigan; sisters, Mary (Holmes) Stuckey, Queenie (Clifton) Wells, Lorine Sanders, Anniebell (Joseph) Adams, Lucy Wright, and Debra McNear; brothers, Johnny Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, John McNear, Herschel McNear, Lonnie McNear, Curtis McNear, Ronnie McNear, sister-in-laws, Daisy (Robert) Cherry of Detroit, Michigan, Minnie Lee (Dan) Rozier, Patricia (Jinmy) Rozier of Dublin, Diane (Errol) Cummings of Fort Myers, Florida; brother-in-laws, Billy (Julia) Hazley, Ronald (Wanda) Christian, Sammy (Cathy) Green, Willie (Rose) Green, a special aunt, Gladys Wright, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 110 Cedar Creek, and at 128 Trinity Road, Dublin.
