Graveside services for Mrs. Rosa L. Coley, 84, of Elmira, NY, will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at 12:30 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 80 West, Montrose. Reverend Roger Edwards will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dudley Funeral Home.

She was born December 19, 1929 in Dublin, GA, daughter of the late Charles Lee and Lila Mae Edwards and went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

Rosa was a member of Frederick Douglass Memorial AME Zion Church since 1966. At the church she served as an usher for over 40 years and as a deaconess for over 30 years. She worked at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira for 10 years.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thomas Coley, her three brothers; Robert Edwards, Andrew Edwards, Willie T. Edwards; and her three sisters; Mattie Pearl Williams, Velma Coley, and Marie Mack.

She is survived by her daughter; Sheral (Robert) Nelson, two sons; Willie T. Coley Jr. and Alton (Vanester) Coley; sister; Georgia Mae White, brother; T.J. (Irene) Edwards, sisters-in-law; Mary Coley, Geneva Peoples, Teresa Coley, Helen Medley, and Evelyn Coley, brothers-in-law; Wilbert, Curtis, and Wayne Coley, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
