Funeral services for Mr. Robert A. Holliman, 74, of Miami, Florida, will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 12 PM at the Wabash Church of God, 500 Telfair Street, Dublin. Burial will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Holliman was born on March 13, 1940, in Dublin to Mr. Robert and Mrs. Julia Smith Holliman. He attended Telfair Elementary School and graduated from Oconee High School in Dublin in 1958. He served in the United States Army in the eighty-second Airborne Division at Fort Braggs, North Carolina.

At an early age, Mr. Holliman joined the First African Baptist Church in Dublin where he attended Sunday School and Baptist Training Union and sang in the Youth Choir and participated in the youth activities of the church.

Mr. Holliman was the father of a son, Mr. Robert Willis. He later married Ida Bell Isaac and to this union was born four children; Anthony, Jeffrey, the late Ronald and Vickie. On August 8, 1969 he married Annie Lee Brown, his present wife. He later moved to Miami, Florida where he attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He was affiliated with the Masonic Lodge Number Twenty-Three. For many years, he was employed with Southern Paper Company where he retired. He then was employed with Rider's Trucking Company where he worked until he became ill.

Mr. Holliman is survived by a loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Annie Lee Holliman of Miami, Florida; four children, Robert (Vickie) Willis of Dublin, Anthony (Gaile) Holliman of Maple Shade, New Jersey, Jeffrey (Yaneeke) Holliman of Lauder Hill, Florida, Vickie (Benny) Young of Savannah; fourteen grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr, Zakiya, Zouve’, Zena, Naeem, Krystal, Benny, Karah, Dayna, Alissia, Nikeea, Phillip, Arlanda and Robin; a number of great grandchildren; one brother, Charles F. (Dovie) Holliman of Dublin; one aunt, Mrs. Inell Whitfield of Miami, Florida; one nephew, Marcus Holliman of Dublin; and a host of cousins and friends.

Mr. Holliman will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
