Funeral services for Mr. Otha Lee "Buddy" Stanley, Sr., of Dublin will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 AM in the C.D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Brian Ashley will officiate.

Mr. Stanley who passed on Tuesday, September 24 was born March 15, 1917 to the late Lewis Stevens and the late Ever Jane Stanley of Dudley. He was married to the late, George Evans Ashley Stanley for 67 years. Two sons preceded him in death, Lewis Stanley and Robert Mills.

He was a veteran of the United States World War II.

Mr. Stanley is survived by his son, Otha (Sheila) Stanley, Jr.; daughter, Almarene Stanley of Dublin; daughter-in-law, Grace Stanley of Dublin; one sister, Hattie Dupree of Atlanta; grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Charlene (Derrick) McCloud, Renwick Stanley, Clarence Stanley, Sherlanda R. Stanley, S. Ramon (Abena) Stanley, Felicia (Rev. Henry) Channel, III, Regis M. Stanley, Ralph (Sherre) Stanley, Jr. and LaSheika Stanley all of Dublin, Christopher Hampton of Miami, Florida; one great nephew, Eugene Wallace of Dublin, seventeen great grandchilden and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otha Stanley, Jr., 513 Pine Street in Dublin.
