YORK -- Oliver Leslie "Les" Simmons Jr., 85, of York, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Agape Hospice in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church with Rev. Neil McKay officiating.
Les was a son of the late Oliver Leslie Simmons Sr. and Flossie Hamrick Simmons. He was a member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, and was a veteran of the US Marines.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Kirk Simmons of York, SC, daughter Pamela and husband Peter Simon of Camarillo, CA, three grandchildren, Jessica, Tony, Maria and one great grandson Max. In addition to his parents, Les was preceded in death by daughter Teresa Simmons.
