Myrtis Neely
YORK -- Myrtis Dyches Neely, 96, of 526 W Old Limestone Road died Friday, September 26, 2014, at her home in York.
A graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York.
Myrtis was a daughter of the late David Wilson Dyches and Minnie Bell Abstance Dyches. Myrtis grew up in the York Episcopal Church Home, and later was owner/operator of Neely's Beauty Shop, Neely's Drug Store, and FiFi's Tots and Teens. She was the widow of Hyder Arthur Davie Neely Jr., and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York. Myrtis loved her family and never missed an opportunity to play Bingo or go fishing.
She is survived by son Arthur D. Neely III (Barbara) of York, SC, three grandchildren, Felicia, Angie, Arthur "Brother", ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Barbara.
