Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtice Gilbert, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 12 PM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church 705 Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Pastor Joe Shinholster will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Green Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilbert, who passed on December 15, was born on March 6, 1920, in Bleckley County to the late Ebb and Ruthie Lindsey Jones. She was a member of Mount Green Baptist Church. She worked many years doing domestic work and cooking for her family and others.

Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Gilbert, Sr.; by daughters, Idella Cooks, Louise Wright, Carrie Spikes and Luedella Normans and by a son, Jerry Gilberts, Sr.; and by three sisters and four brothers.

Mrs. Gilbert leaves loving memories to three daughters, Rosie Lee (Tommie Lee) Montford, Vera Gilbert, Blanche Gilbert of Dublin; three sons, Charles (Angie Bell) Gilbert, Jr., Willie (Pearline) Gilbert of Dublin, Johnny (Katie) Davis of Marietta; one sister, Hazel Thomas of Dudley; one brother, Ira Jones of Milledgeville; two sisters-in-law, France Jones of Macon, Ethel Jones of Milledgeville; a very devoted cousin, Emmanuel "Boot" Walker of Sparta and host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 425 Witherington Circle in Dublin.
