Funeral services for Mrs. Ludessia Meardith Brown, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 11 AM at the Second African Baptist Church, 800 North Decatur Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Karoie Baker will officiate.

Mrs. Brown, who passed on December 7, was born on October 28, 1950, to the late Elizabeth and Oscar Meardith. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Cobb and by her husband, Robert L. Brown.

She was 1968 graduate of Oconee High School. She was certified Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Nursing Assistant from the Heart of Georgia Technical College. She also graduated from Niarobi Hair School and was a member of the Oconee Alumni Association.

Mrs. Brown is survived by two children, Chelsea (Terrell) Burch of Atlanta, Michael (Angel) Brown of Claxton; four grandchildren, Kyrsten Elise and Kamryn Amari Burch of Atlanta, Christopher Michael and Ayden Anthony Brown of Longview, Texas; siblings, May E. (Carlton) Owens, Waldorf, Maryland, Joyce (Grady) Johnson, Riverdale, Terry Meardith, Tommy O'Neal and Tina (Sam) McRae all of Dublin; two aunts, Catherine Bradford, Dublin and Elean Walker of East Dublin; daughter-in-law, Tenia Nelson Cobb, Texas; son-in-law, Stephen Burch, Atlanta; brother-in-law, Henry Joe Pooler, Dublin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 206 Riverview Drive in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday from 6:30-7:30 PM. There will be no viewing.
