Funeral services for Mr. Leon Jenkins Sr., 59, of East Dublin, will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 3 PM at the Christ Deliverance Temple, 403 East Garner Street, Dublin. Bishop Otha Stanley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lovett Mission Cemetery.

Mr. Jenkins entered into God’s eternal rest on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born February 15, 1955 to the late Horace Jenkins, Sr. and Oleda Daniel Jenkins.

He attended B. D. Perry School in Dublin until he joined the United States Air Force where he served 2 years, and the U.S. Army Reserve for 22 years. He was a member of the Brown Chapel Baptist Church where he was an active member.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife, Boonie V. Jenkins; father, Horace Jenkins, Sr.; mother, Oleda Daniel Jenkins; and sister, Barbara Coley.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his two daughters, Marunda Wadley of East Dublin, and Crystal Jenkins of Lincoln, Nebraska; one son, Leon Jenkins, Jr. of Dublin; two sisters, Annie (Roy) Taylor and Glenda Faye Jenkins all of East Dublin; one brother, Horace Jenkins, Jr. of Rochester, New York; one aunt, Willie Mae Thomas of Dublin; ten grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Annette Brown of Dublin.

Mr. Jenkins will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at 981 Pipen Lane, East Dublin
