Funeral services for Mr. Lamar Mosley, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Mount Pullen AME Church, 1304 Lakeway Road, East Dublin. Reverend Michael Little will officiate. Interment will be at the Mount Pullen AME Church Cemetery.

Lamar Mosley was born in Dublin, Georgia, on March 28, 1949, to the late S. L. and Willie Jewel Mosley. He was nurtured in a christian home and attended B. D. Perry Elementary and High School where he graduated in 1969. Mr. Mosley enjoyed life and took great pleasure in being a great husband and parent. He especially loved his children. He was married to Margaret Rowland of Dublin, Georgia.

He worked many years for J. P. Stevens and Company (Forstmann, Inc.) starting while still in high school and continued after graduation. Later, he worked for the City of Savannah, Georgia. He returned to Dublin and worked at Evans Cabinet Company and retired from the City of Dublin. He enjoyed driving cars, good food, hunting, fishing and socializing with family and friends. He passed away on August 27, 2018.

Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Ronald, his parents, S. L. and Willie Jewel Mosley, and by his grandparents, Willie D. and Carrie B. Jones, and James and Susie Mosley.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mosley, his children, Jaqila Mosley, Yvonne Culvyer, and Paul McGirt, grandchildren, Peyton, Alaska, Jalen, Caleb, Issac and Noah, his sister, Doris (Major General Jerome) Johnson of Manassas, Virginia, his brothers, Lachaun (Robbie) Mosley of Riverdale, Georgia, and James Mosley of Dublin, Georgia, his aunts, Minnie Hodges of East Dublin, Georgia, Mazell Jones of East Dublin, Georgia, and Janet Jones of Utica, New York, his brothers-in-law, Willie (Jimmie) Rollins of Atlanta, Georgia, Nathaniel Rowland of Rochester, New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 199 North Calhoun Street in Dublin.
