Funeral services for Mr. Lamar Ivery, 80, of East Dublin will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 12:00 PM at Greater Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, 511 North Franklin Street, Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Ivery, who passed away on June 22, was born on February 6, 1932, in Dodge County, Georgia, to the late Marcelle and Mary Wynn Ivery. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary Lee Harris, Georgia Lee Thomas, Vera Mason and Alie Lee Moss; and three brothers: Milas Ivery, John Henry Ivery, and Lupie Ivery. He was a member of the The House of Refuge. Mr. Ivery leaves his loving family, a wife of 42 years, Letha Mae Ivery; one daughter, Willie May Ashley of Pensacola, FL; three sons, Darrin Wiggins, Calvin Ivery both of Dublin, and Chadwick (Cheleste) Ivery of Atlanta; one sister, Essie Mae Wright; seven devoted sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Ivery, Betty Jean Wiggins, Ella Mae Roberson all of Dublin, Ruby Dell Jefferson of Radcliff, KY, Sheila Wiggins of Douglas, Pearlean Graham and Ollie McMillar of Macon; four brothers-in-law, Roosevelt Roberson of Dublin, Wesley Jefferson of Radcliff, KY, John Wiggins of Douglas, and Tyron McMillar of Macon; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, as well as other relatives.
