J. B. Taylor

Funeral services for Deacon J.B. Taylor, Sr. of Dublin will be held on Friday, October 4, at 12:00 PM at Jordan Grove Church of God In Christ, 1908 US Highway 319 North in East Dublin. Superintendent Ira Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Green Cemetery, 591 Manning Drive in East Dublin.

Mr. Taylor who passed on September 26 was born to the late Oliver and Mary Taylor in Laurens County. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Ophelia Taylor. Mr. Taylor was self employed for a number of years. He was a member of Jordan Grove COGIC, where he served as a Chairman of the Deacon Board.


Mr. Taylor is survived by his seven sons, J.B. Taylor, Jr., Oliver W. (Mailye), Sr., Adolph D.(Rubye) Taylor, Marion J. (Carolyn) Taylor; two daughters, Bertha T. Brown, Geneva M. Taylor, Charles J. (Linda) Reese, Jr., David R. Reese and Timothy C. Reese and a host of grandchildren greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Viewing will be held at the Dudley Funeral Home, Thursday, October 3, from 10:00 AM -8:00 PM. He wil be placed in the church from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday.
