Funeral services for Mother Gladys Blue Payne of Dublin will be held on Monday, March , 2014, at 1:00 PM at the Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church, 1300 South Jefferson Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Bishop H.J. Sinclair will officiate.

Mother Payne who passed on March 26, 2014, was born on May 16, 1935, to the late Joe and Alice Blue. She was the fifth born child of six to the union where four siblings preceded her in death, Charlie, William, Clarence and Q. C. Blue.

She was a faithful member of the Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church for twenty-eight years where she served on numerous boards which included President of Nurses Guild, Missionary and Evangelist Board and a faithful member of H.J. Sinclair Senior Choir and a devoted Prayer Warrior.

She worked many years at the VA Medical Center, The Laurens County Service Center, and the Ladies in White Nursing Care Services.

Mother Payne is survived by a devoted son, Johnnie (Janice) Anderson, Sr. of Killeen, Texas; four loving grandchildren, Johnnie Anderson, Jr., of Dublin, Jamelia Anderson, and Jvonne (Pierre) Cummings of Killeen, Texas, Jerricca Anderson of Austin, Texas; two beautiful great-grandchildren, Chad Poole, Jr. and Pierre Cummings, II of Killeen, Texas and sister, Lucy (Robert) Stanley of Dublin; a devoted niece and caregiver, Betty Blue Lanier of Dublin; two nieces and one nephew whom she raised, Gina Blue Kelly of McDonough, Tonsi Blue of Warner Robins and Quincey Blue, Jr. of Lawrenceville; other nieces and nephews, Rose Mary Blue of McRae, Nancy Blue Austin, Joe Blue, II and Clarence Blue, Jr. of Dublin, Glenis Blue of Warner Robins and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucy (Robert) Stanley, 705 Southern Pine Road in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Sunday, 5-6 pm.
