Homegoing services for Mr. George Walker, Jr., of Dublin, are scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 12 PM at the Royal Springs Baptist Church in East Dublin.

On January 30, 2014, after a brief illness, God entered the room of Mr. George Walker, Jr., also known as “Junebug” or “Bug”, quietly and gently spoke saying, “it’s time to take your rest.”

George Walker, Jr., was born on June 8, 1948, in Laurens Count, to the late George and Eloise Walker. He was a member of the Royal Spring Baptist Church and attended the B.D. Perry School. He was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Walker; and two brothers, Willie Walker, Sr., and Earnest Gene Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted fiance’, Mrs. Willie Wells; three daughters, Juniata Coleman, Kimberly Coleman, Casandra Mann; four sons, David (Lisa) Walker, Bruce Walker, Arthur Curry, Natcole Denson; one stepson, Antonio Wells; two sisters, Essie (Shine) Coney, Jacqueline Wright; five brothers, Jessie Lee (Veola) Walker, Bobby Lee (Jacquelyn) Walker, Jeffery, Sr. (Juanita) Walker and Richard Walker of Dublin, Forest Mitchell of Wrightsville; one uncle, Elder Tommy Ricks; one aunt Fleta Mae George of Dublin, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
