Funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Judon Coney, 72, of Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2 PM at the Mount Tilla Baptist Church, 2424 US Highway 441 South, Irwinton. Pastor Jamie Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Strawberry AME Church Cemetery, 630 Country Club Road, Dublin.

Mrs. Coney was born on March 14, 1942 in Laurens County to the late Mr. Eugene Walker and Mrs. Cordell Judon. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

She was joined in marriage on October 7, 1963 to Mr. J.C. Coney Sr. At an early age, she joined the Strawberry A.M.E. Church. She served faithfully as a Steward, Class Leader, Missionary Treasurer, and the President of the Choir for many years. She was always concerned for the needs of others and willing to lend a helping hand. She was the pillow of our family and the glue that kept the family together.

Mrs. Coney leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, J.C. Coney Sr.; children, Vanessa (Willie) Guyton, Debbie (Boyd) Stuckey, Kenneth Coney, Leslie Coney, J.C. Coney Jr., Antonio (Lisa) Coney, Sherwin Coney all of Dublin; sisters, Gussie O’Neal, Almarene Stanley, Ideris (Yancey) Reynolds and Betty Edwards all of Dublin, and Barbera (Dan) Jolley of Macon; brothers-in-law, Willie B. Coney of Miami, Florida, Milo (Jackie) Coney and Ralph Stanley; sister-in-law, Patricia Judon all of Dublin; grandchildren, Micheal Stuckey, Jamie (Shawanda) Pittman, Nakasha Pittman, Julanda Pittman, Kengela Coney, Josh Coney, Kendrick Coney, Alex Coney, Brittany Coney, Devin Stuckey, Jabot Coney, Elexus Coney, Paxton Coney, Tyler Coney, Kenland Coney, Deon Coney, Christy Coney, Jermaine Coney, and Kayla Wright; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a devoted and loving cousin, June Lanier; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1698 Oconee Church Road, Dublin.
