Edward McClendon

Funeral services for Mr. Edward D. McClendon of 240 Buckingham Parc Circle, East Dublin, will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2 PM at Loving Ministries Church, 116 Pritchett Street in Dublin. Reverend Kenneth Kates, Sr. will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. In his own way for own purpose, God has reached down into our garden to pluck one his fairest glorious bloom, but they must pass out of our lives in the season frost,

Having reached his full bloom, and the bloom was really full, Mr. Edward D. McClendon was called from labor to rest on Wednesday, August 7, 2014. He was the son of the late Robert McClendon and Francis Brinson McLendon. Mr. McClendon was born on June 3, 1936, in Rentz, Georgia. . He graduated from Oconee High School in 1953 and immediately went in the United States Air Force where he served a total of 28 years and retired at Grand Forks Air Force Base in 1982. He moved to Macon in 1988 where he resided with his wife, Catherine (Ahia) McClendon, who preceded him in death. Then later moved to Dublin, and married Mozell Tuff on May 17, 2003 until his death.

He was a loving, faithful, father, and friend. He was also a member of the Word of Harvest Church of God in Christ where he gave his life and served faithfully as a member and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Mozell McLendon of East Dublin, four children Robert McClendon, Raymond (Amendia) McClendon, Roland (Bernice) McClendon, Francene McClendon, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Sammie, and one brother, W. C. (Barbara) McClendon.

Family will be receiving friends at the family residence, 240 Buckingham Parc Circle, East Dublin.
