David Stanley

Funeral Services for Mr. David Stanley of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11 AM in the C.D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Shawn Curtis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Stanley, who passed on July 13, 2014, was born on December 7, 1933, to the late Pervy Stanley, Sr. and Lucille Rozier Stanley. During his early childhood he became a member of Mt. Tilla Baptist Church in Wilkinson County. He enjoyed painting and auto body repair work. He retired as owner of Stanley Auto Body Repair in Miami, Florida. After retirement, he returned to Laurens County.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, J. B. Stanley, Lilious Stanley, Pervy Stanley, Jr., and Reverend Rayford Stanley, and five sisters, Pearlie Mae and Mamie Stanley, Rosa Cheeks, Ann Kirkland, and Doris Collier.

David leaves to cherish his memories; two daughters, Rosalind and Deborah Stanley and one son, David, Jr.; one brother, Sammie (Josephine) Stanley of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two devoted nephews, Columbus (Gloria) Gilmore of Douglasville and Albert (Ida) Stanley of Dublin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
