Funeral services for Reverend David Dudley Edmonds, Jr., 63, will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 11:00 AM at William Grove Baptist Church at 104 West Mary Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin. Reverend Earnest Holmes, Jr., will officiate. Reverend Edmonds, who passed on August 31, was born October 16, 1948 to the late Reverend and Mrs. David Dudley and Mae Autley Edmonds. He was a faithful and active member of William Grove Baptist Church. He served as Pastor for a number of churches. He was also a Licensed and Ordained Minister, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Marriage and Family Counselor, Individual and Group Counselor, Chaplain, Coach, Referee, and Georgia Certified Teacher. Reverend Edmonds leaves a loving legacy of those he touched. He leaves behind two loving sisters, Mrs. Bertha J. Murphy of Claxton; Mrs. Mary Bulley of Dublin; one brother-in-law, Reverend Eugene Murphy of Claxton; nephews, Steven Bush of Monroe, Dr. Albert E. Jones of Atlanta, Dwight D. Jones of Claxton, Thurgood M. Jones of Lithonia; two nieces, Beatrice Payne and Rossie Wiggins of Soperton, fifteen great and eighteen great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives, and a host of sons and daughters whom he baptized into the service of the Lord.
