Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Mercer of Dublin will be held on Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 pm at Holly Springs Baptist Churc, 2345 Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bishop Henry Channel, III will officiate.

Mrs. Mercer who passed on March 24, 2014, was born May 19, 1957, to the late Annie Ruth Underwood and the late Charles Devoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late George Mercer; her grandparents, Jack and Dessie Lewis and a sister, Diane Anderson. She was a member of New Generation and Beginning Ministry.

Mrs. Mercer is survived by her brother, David (Lily Ruth) Lewis; daughters, Georgina Mercer (John Downing) and Belinda Bell; one step-son, Tyrone Mercer; ten grandchildren, Aquina Dixon, Shaquail Dixon, Kiara Dixon, Quintez Mercer, Jacorey Mercer, Antonio Downing, Elaish Downing, John Downing, Johntasia Downing, and Johnquitta Downing; six great grandchildren, Jemel Miller, Amya Miller, Melina Miller, Da'lila Holmes, Kayle Roberson, and Khy'leigh Mercer; three uncles, Albert Lewis, Robert "Earl" (Janis) Lewis all of Dublin, and Roy (Linda) Devoe of Montrose; five aunts, Mattie Channel (James) Hall, Gloria Taylor, Evelyn Martin, Reather Harvey all of Dublin and Annie Ruth Lewis of Savannah; godchild, Azariya Lewis and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 333 Grey Street in Dublin.
