Hyder Arthur Davie Neely, III, 74, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home in York.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York with Rev. Dave Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside at Filbert Presbyterian Church.
Arthur was the only child of the late H. Arthur Neely, Jr. and Myrtis Dyches Neely. He was the former manager of Neely’s Drug Store and later retired from York County Solid Waste. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he loved to farm, hunt, fish, and play golf.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Sadowski Neely, children, Angie Neely (Bryan Honeycutt), Arthur “Brother” Neely (Kimberly), Felicia Whitesides (Tracy) all of York, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Elizabeth Neely.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or to Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745.
