Mrs. Amelia (Samuels) Edwards 81 years old Clarksville, TX went to be with her heavenly father, January 8, 2013 in Clarksville, TX. Funeral service was Saturday, January 12, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Clarksville, TX , Rev. Ted Robinson, pastor and Rev. Ossie Coleman, officiating. Under the direction of Citizens Funeral Home, 500 E. Church Street, Clarksville, TX Armelia H. Edwards, 81, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013 following a lengthy illness. She was born October 31, 1931 in Clarksville, TX to the late Benjamin P. Samuels and Lucille Arthur Samuels. She was an active member and served as Vice President on the usher board at St. Paul United Methodist Church and faithfully served in her community until her sickness. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and attended Prairie View A & M. She was preceded in death by her parents; Howard Wayne Edwards, son; sisters: Roberta Graves and Emma Dell Mims; and brother, Benjamin P. Samuels, Jr. She married Elma Lee Edwards, Sr., July 1960 and to this union ten children were born. Ronald (Alice) Dizer, Sr. of Commerce, TX; James (Rita) Dizer of Clarksville, TX; Elma L. Sister, Dortha Thomas of Dallas, TX. 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
