Funeral services for Mrs. Arleane Montford Ray, of Dublin, will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church, 223 Martin Luther King Drive in Dublin. Reverend Willie Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Ray, affectionately known as "Aunt Bill", was born January 24, 1937 in Wrightsville, to the late Tommie and Alberta Martin Montford. She made her transition from this life on March 3, 2016.

Mrs. Ray graduated from the Johnson County School System. She was an excellent homemaker and baby sitter in her community. She was a member of St. Galillee Baptist Church in Wrightsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Ray; her son, Tony Ray; four sisters, Nora Hicks, Nadine Elbert, Mary Lizzie Waters and Annie Mae Montford; three brothers, Leo Montford, Elijah Montford, Sr. and John Montford.

Mrs. Ray leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Vickie (Robert) Willis; three devoted grandchildren, Arlanda Willis of Dublin, Robin Willis of East Point, and Jakayla Kellam of Dublin; two sisters, Gloria Montford of Dublin and Mary Alice (Perlie) Blair of Wrightsville; two brothers, Tommie (Rose) Montford of Dublin, David (Diane) Montford of Adrian; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Charleston of New Jersey and Inez Montford of Miami, Florida and a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 807 Hudson Drive in Dublin.
